Dr. Fernando Hidalgo certified surgeon oncologist who specializes his practice towards breast cancer and gynecologic cancer. It handles all types of diseases of the breast, from subclinical lesions to breast cancer. It also treats diseases related to Ovarian Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Endometrial Cancer and Vulva Cancer.
Dr. Hidalgo has received specialized training in minimally invasive surgery and in the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer: Sentinel lymph node, laparoscopic surgery, office and therapeutic hysteroscopy.
His birthplace is Valencia, Venezuela. He did his medical studies at the University of Carabobo being in the top 5 in his class.
Then he moved to Caracas where he completed his studies of General Surgery and Surgical Oncology at the Central University of Venezuela: Miguel Perez Carreño IVSS and Luis Razetti Hospital Cancer Institute. Chief resident, graduating with honors in the first places of promotion.
While in Caracas makes 1 year dedicated to oncological breast disease (First performed at the Oncological Institute Luis Razetti) especially dedicated to the study of subclinical breast lesions.
He returns to Valencia as part of the Department of Oncological Surgery at the Guerra Méndez Medical Center. He also entered the Miguel Pérez Carreño Valencia Oncology Institute, as Surgeon Oncologist attached to the Oncology Gynecology Service.
Lecturer and assistant to numerous National and International Congresses, author of research works, professor of postgraduate students of Oncological Surgery, is a member of the Venezuelan Society of Oncology (SVO) and the International Society of Gynecological Cancer (IGCS)
